Climb aboard for a night of ocean adventure! The Ocean Film Festival World Tour features a new collection of the world’s most incredible ocean films!

Brought to you by the team behind the Banff Mountain Film Festival UK & Ireland tour, this selection of short films combines breath-taking marine life and wild seafaring voyages in a cinematic celebration of our oceans.

Venturing to rarely explored depths of the planet, meet the surfers, paddlers, divers and scientists who have dedicated their lives to answering the call of the ocean. Plunge into the wonders of the big blue – without getting your feet wet!

Ice Maiden (62 minutes)
Adventurer Lisa Blair is aiming to become the first woman to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around Antarctica. When unexpected and life-threatening weather conditions cause catastrophe, Lisa needs to dig into every ounce of courage, determination and self-belief to not only finish the journey, but survive in the most dangerous waters on the planet.

The Whale Song (18 minutes)
Delve into the enchanting world of humpback whales and their remarkable ability to communicate through song. Narrated by renowned marine biologist Nan Hauser, we also join DJ Sam Feldt, who demonstrates the synergy between nature and art by using whale song to create a dance floor hit. A visually stunning short film celebrating the fusion of music and nature.

The Call of the Cold (12 minutes)
Three athletes embark on a multi-sport adventure in Iceland, to explore ‘water’ in its many forms. From surfing wild waves, to climbing icebergs, to free diving beneath the icy surface, they chase the fine line between frozen and liquid water.

Tess Felix: Portrait of an Artist (8 minutes)
California-based artist Tess Felix uses plastic debris to create mosaic portraits as a vibrant response to the perilous state of our oceans. Through the forgotten and unusual remnants of everyday life, Tess uses art to speak of the places, people and ocean that she loves.

The Call (12 minutes)
Hawaiian photographer and surfer Mike Coots has a deep bond with the ocean, until a harrowing shark attack alters the course of his life. Turning fate into purpose, Mike uses his camera to capture the grace and majesty of sharks, sharing their story to give back to the ocean in his own way.

Metropolis (12 minutes)
Plunge into the depths of the ocean’s most vibrant ecosystem. This mesmerising short film takes a light-hearted look at the daily lives of the inhabitants of ‘Reef City’, from the morning rituals of the emperor angelfish to the nocturnal hunts of the colourful wunderpus.

Murder on the Orient Express

Following a sell-out tour of the best-selling crime novel of all time, And Then There Were None, Agatha Christie Ltd, Fiery Angel and Lucy Bailey (director of the West End hit Witness for the Prosecution) will bring Ken Ludwig’s adaptation of another Agatha Christie classic to the stage in 2024.  The UK & Ireland Tour of MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS will arrive at Malvern Theatre from 12th - 16th November 2024.

Winter 1934 and an avalanche stops the Orient Express dead in its tracks.  An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Trapped in the snow with a killer still on board, can the world’s most famous detective, Hercule Poirot, crack the case before the train reaches its final destination?

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS is one of Agatha Christie’s greatest literary achievements, with a final twist that is amongst her very best.  Gripping, tense and masterfully cryptic, this brand-new production is a deliciously thrilling ride and an ingenious murder mystery, guaranteed to keep you guessing until the end of the line.

James Prichard of Agatha Christie Limited said, “We're thrilled to once again be working with Lucy Bailey and the team at Fiery Angel and excited to bring Ken Ludwig's magnificent adaptation of one of my great grandmother's most atmospheric and ingenious stories back to UK audiences.”

Having recently directed three of Christie's classic thrillers for the stage, this will be Lucy Bailey's fourth.  She said, “Murder on the Orient Express, fast, funny almost farcical at times but with a dark undercurrent of loss and revenge…   A train stuck in a snow drift.  The holed up passengers all suspected of murder - what fun to be had!”

Casting is to be announced.
